Humble Work Remote Bundle

Last Updated on

Many people are finding themselves working from home for the first time ever, and for most of us that involves some kind of computer use. For some, this might mean using their home computer or laptop for work purposes for the first time ever, and there might be software that you’ve never had much of a need for in the past but would be particularly useful today.

That’s where the Humble Software Bundle: Work Remote steps in, a selection of software tools that are hoping to aid your transition into remote working. It’s a grab bag of different pieces of software focusing on areas like security, remote access, collaborative note sharing, communication, and productivity. Depending on what exactly it is you’re trying to achieve, there’s a good chance that there’s something in here that will help you get your work done faster and more efficiently. There’s also a handful of games thrown in for good measure, perhaps to help you relax after a hard day’s work.

There are three different pricing tiers of this bundle, with different software included at each tier.

The entry tier of “Pay What You Want”, starting at a dollar, gets you a three-month subscription to Evernote Premium, for managing notes and keeping track of different types of web content, great for compiling different pieces of information across different devices. It also comes with a 12-month subscription to Parallels Access, a remote access tool that lets you browse content and run software on your desktop PC from a mobile device, excellent for accessing software and files that are on one PC, even when you can’t physically be where that PC is.

The next tier up, at $11, offers a 6-month Livedrive Backup, a tool for storing files in the cloud, and then you can access photos, videos and audio files remotely either through a web browser or through their mobile app. It also includes a 3-month subscription to Todoist Premium, an advanced multi-platform todo list, helping you track tasks that you need to complete, have in progress, or have already completed. A perfect tool for people who have difficulty managing their time and tracking accomplishments as they’ve shifted to a different mode of working.

Then for the top tier of $20, there’s a huge selection of tools included. There’s the word processor WordPerfect Office X9, a great tool for anyone who is writing or producing any kinds of text documents. There’s DisplayFusion, an advanced tool for managing multiple windows and multiple displays, perfect for if you have a PC or laptop with multiple displays connected to it. There is a 6-month Families & Teams subscription for 1Password, a powerful password manager that keeps track of all your passwords for different accounts, with support for up to 5 users, far safer than writing passwords down or using the same password for everything.

Beyond these, there’s classic adventure game “Dreamfall: The Longest Journey”, a selection of Warhammer games, and strategy RPG King of Dragon Pass.

This bundle is raising funds for charities working to help people through the COVID-19 pandemic, by donating a portion of the proceeds towards their fundraising efforts. The charities are Partners In Health, Direct Relief, Save the Children & ShelterBox.This bundle is running until May 6th, so you’ve got some time to think it over, but the price of entry is just whatever you feel is the right price for you, so head over to Humble Bundle to grab this bundle if you’re interested.
