AKITA (Akita Inu) is an Ethereum-based ERC-20 token. Akita Inu is an experiment in community building that is entirely meme-driven and decentralized. It asserts that half of the tokens have been delivered to Vitalik Buterin and that the other half have been locked away in an Uniswap pool with the keys having been destroyed. It is identical to the Shiba Inu, except that its tokenomics are different.
It started out as a meme token with neither a team nor a project, but it has since grown into a strong community with over 60,000 and counting holders, a dedicated team of community members and investors, and many community moderators to help federate the community.
The mission of the team is to transform the Akita Inu coin from a meme coin into a genuine, practical token that can be used in a variety of contexts. Interoperability between different chains is also available.
