Disney Plus Day

November 12th marks two years since Disney Plus launched, and it’s going to be a day filled with some amazing content drops. Some of which have been a long time coming:

Disney Plus day is easily the streaming event of the year in 2021.

Disney Plus Day is set to be an amazing celebration of the six brands under the streaming services content umbrella. For those who don’t know, that’s Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, and Star (which is home to Fox content overseas).

Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company had this to say on the Disney official news site:

“The inaugural Disney+ Day will be a grand-scale celebration of our subscribers across the entire company. This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses.”

  • Jungle Cruise leaves premier access
  • Home Sweet Home Alone is a Disney Plus Original and a reimagining of Home Alone

Shorts

  • Olaf Presents is a series of short movies that has Olaf retelling several Disney tales
  • Frozen Fever
  • Feast
  • Paperman
  • Get A Horse – Mickey Mouse short
  • Ciao Alberto – A short featuring the characters from the breakout film Luca
  • A new Simpsons Short

Series

  • The first five episodes of The World Acording to Jeff Goldblum: Season Two
  • Boba Fett: Under The Helmet one episode special
  • Dopestick – Staring Michael Keaton under the Star brand
